EastEnders cancelled tonight – with Emmerdale and Coronation Street axed tomorrow in huge soap schedule shake-up | The Sun

THE nation's favourite soaps will be scrapped tonight and tomorrow as the FA Cup football kicks off.

BBC soap EastEnders will not air tonight, after their double episode last night.


ITV soap Emmerdale is also scrapped as the FA cup fifth round tie between Bristol City and Manchester City will air on ITV from 7:30pm.

And Coronation Street will not appear on our screens in its usual time slot tomorrow at 8pm.

This is to make way for a match between Manchester United and West Ham United.

Coronation Street's Wednesday instalment will switch to Thursday at 8pm.

And Emmerdale will air their episode on Thursday as normal.

To make up for missed episodes, there will be a double bill of EastEnders on Friday.

Emmerdale's Friday episode will last 60 minutes instead of 30.

Last month, Corrie fans were fuming as the soap was cancelled for the same FA Cup tournament.

The schedule disruption came after a series of cancellations for the World Cup.
