EastEnders spoilers tease Cindy and George reunion as she returns to Walford

Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) is back in Albert Square after 25 years away – and she doesn’t exactly get a warm welcome as two families are left reeling at her return in EastEnders spoilers.

When Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) finds Cindy has left to follow Peter Beale (Thomas Law) back to Walford, he demands Peter get his mum home. But with Peter’s back turned, Cindy goes in search of Beale (Gillian Taylforth).

With Kathy thinking that Cindy is dead, it’s a shock when she comes face to face with her former daughter-in-law and the pair have a furious showdown. But the big drama comes at Anna Knight’s (Molly Rainford) 21st birthday party.

George Knight (Colin Salmon) is emotionally overwhelmed by the day, and later opens up to Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) about how sad and disappointed he is that Rose is missing yet another milestone in their daughters’ lives.

However when George goes outside for some air, he walks straight into his wife ‘Rose’ aka Cindy – the woman who walked out of his family’s life almost a decade ago.

The pair are stunned to see each other, and while Cindy insists she didn’t know the family were living in Walford, when she realises her daughters are only metres away, she can’t help but rush into the Vic bar.

There, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) and Anna are stunned to be faced with their missing mum. Cindy tries to explain to them what happens, but things don’t go well and the girls head out to drown their sorrows – where disaster strikes.

Elsewhere, Ian is also back on the Square and after failing to avoid Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) and Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden), the trio have an awkward reunion and it’s not long before Phil makes it clear he wants Ian gone.

With Anna reeling over her family connection to Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell), she tells him it’s better they just stay friends, leaving Bobby fearing that both she and Cindy will hate him for Lucy’s death.

Also in the square, Kathy is stunned to learn that Peter is back in Walford, the pair end up having a heart-to-heart. But will she forgive him for stealing her money the last time he was in town?

After the shock of seeing his ‘dead’ wife again, George orders Cindy to leave along with the Beales. Alone for the first time, George breaks down as he’s overwhelmed and Cindy and Ian take refuge with Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).
