Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) makes a huge decision about her future that will leave Moira (Natalie J Robb) in an impossible situation in Emmerdale.
Faith has been living life to the fullest these past few weeks as she’s been staring her impending death in the face.
While her family are still coming to terms with things, she seems to be in a state of total acceptance, and that may be because she’s decided to take control and not leave it up to the dreadful disease as to how and when she shuffles off this mortal coil.
She confides her plan in Moira, who is heavily weighed down by her decision to die by suicide, but Faith is relieved to discover Moira has so far kept it to herself – Cain (Jeff Hordley) has no idea, yet.
With Moira in the know, Faith wants her to help her exact the plan, but Moira is horrified at the thought. When Faith’s health suddenly deteriorates Moira becomes painfully aware of what she’s become part of and is nervous that time is running out, but she also realises why Faith wants the control over the end.
Moira agrees to be there at the end and Faith is overcome with gratitude. But Moira is swamped with fear over whether she’s making the right decision. Things become ever more pressing when Cain starts to arrange Faith’s hospice care as she won’t be needing it.
Moira feels trapped and begs her to share plans of her death, but Faith has a final devastating twist in her tale. She tells Moira there is no way she can share her plans with anyone as Moira will then be implicated in her death as assisting suicide is a crime. The darkest of blackmail.
Moira suddenly realises what she has truly got herself involved in. Will she be forced to assist Faith or will she risk her freedom by coming clean?
