Emmerdale fans outraged as beloved character 'forgotten' amid string of tributes to villagers who've passed | The Sun

EMMERDALE fans have been left outraged after a beloved character was 'forgotten' amid a string of tributes to villagers who've passed away.

This week marked the one year anniversary of the death of Liv Flaherty, who was crushed by a caravan during the freak storm that hit the village.

Liv was remember by husband Vinny, brother Aaron and pal Belle in an episode which aired earlier this week.

The Dingles also raised a toast to Faith Dingle, who died of cancer just hours before Liv's tragic death.

But some Emmerdale fans have been left angry at the fact that another storm victim, Harriet Finch, has been forgotten.

Harriet died while out searching for Amelia in the storm, with Kim Tate witnessing her death after lightning struck her quad bike and crushed her in the woods.

Having been the village's vicar for a number of years as well as a police officer, and having close relationships in Emmerdale, viewers felt she deserved to be acknowledged on the anniversary of her passing.

Taking to X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: "Both Liv & Faith remembered by their loved ones on the first Anniversary of their tragic deaths sadly but nothing for poor Harriet? Not even from Dawn or Will really? She deserved better, just saying #Emmerdale."

Another added: Everyone s remembering Liv. But what about poor Harriet? Does no-one give a toss?"

A fellow viewer replied sarcastically: "Yeah, it's not like Harriet was around for the best part of 10 years or anything."

Meanwhile another tweeted: "Do none of the villagers give a s*** about Harriet."

It lead another viewer to reply: "well the writers didn’t even grace this long term character with a funeral- so doubt they’ll bother allowing characters to mention Harriet."

Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and is available on ITVX.
