Emmerdale spoilers for this week have teased a potential romance between Caleb Miligan and Leyla Harding as the latter finds herself in danger with drug dealer Callum.
Only recently, Leyla spotted Callum in a club as she recorded him mid drug deal, where he was later handcuffed and taken away as she confronted him.
Viewers will recall that earlier this year Leyla's son Jacob was stabbed by Callum as he warned him to stay away from his mum – so she exposed the drug dealer as revenge.
During Monday's episode, Leyla was left terrified over Callum after his threats last week and was desperately worried for Jacob’s safety.
However, Suzy had a plan to take down Callum by smearing him as a grass to his criminal associates but before long, outside Take A Vow, Callum appeared and attacked her with a brick.
Suzy was left unconscious and bloodied but she was thankfully found by Mary, who urgently called for an ambulance.
In upcoming episodes, Caleb finds Leyla sobbing in the graveyard as she makes the decision to confide in him.
To which Caleb advises Leyla to play to win with Callum as she takes him at his word and messages her adversary to arrange a meet…
Talking about the scenes, Leyla star Roxy Shahidi said: "He has got words of advice.
"On their first meeting he shares some words of Caleb wisdom with her, which he’s really reflecting on his own life but she takes to heart and it drives her to make yet another impulsive decision that she thinks is the only thing she can do to kind of take control or potentially get rid of him."
Teasing a romance between Leyla and Caleb, actress Roxy, 40, said: "I think there’s a spark for Leyla with any potential suitor ever, so I’m going to say yes."
It comes as fans of Emmerdale think they have figured out Caleb's real identity after the return of Alex, who they believe he could be related to.
