Poor Rishi Sharma (played by Bhasker Patel) has been unlucky in love since his wife Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) left him for vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin). However, in recent weeks, Emmerdale viewers saw Rishi get close with newcomer Sandra (Joanne Mitchell), and they enjoyed a night of passion together.
While naive Rishi thought it could be the start of a romance, Sandra had other plans.
Liv Flaherty’s (Isobel Steele) mum was only interested in one thing from Rishi, and that was his money.
Ever since they slept together, Sandra has been conning Rishi out of money and explained she will ruin him if he stops giving her the cash.
However, during Thursday night’s instalment, viewers watched Rishi get angry with Sandra after she continued to blackmail him.
Although little do they know, Mandy Dingle (Lisa Riley) recorded the confrontation.
In the shop, Sandra asked Rishi to meet her at the salon so they could chat about their arrangement.
“What do you want?” he asked before Sandra threatened: “You’ll soon find out.”
When Mandy popped out to get a sandwich, Rishi took the opportunity to speak with the hairdresser.
“You enjoy humiliating me, don’t you?” Rishi fumed as Sandra hit back: “Can’t you take a joke?”
“How about you tell me what you want?” Rishi continued before Sandra admitted: “I am skint, basically.
“Cutting hair foils all day doesn’t cut it so much.”
“May I suggest a career change perhaps?” Rishi told her.
However, a change of jobs wasn’t what Sandra had in mind, as she continued to blackmail him for money.
“Or you could bundle us a few extra quid to tide us over?” she suggested.
“So no one finds out you throw envelopes of cash to vulnerable women you’ve used for sex.”
“It could be misconstrued,” she taunted which set Rishi into a rage, as he hit back: “That’s an outright lie. You guilted that money out of me.”
“Still….it’s your word against mine, eh?” Sandra went on to tease.
In desperation, Rishi asked: “Why are you doing this? Hounding me, twisting everything.”
Rishi has clearly had enough of Sandra manipulating and blackmailing him for money.
Viewers have already seen him get angry, but how far will Sandra push him before he snaps?
Could innocent Rishi be forced to silence the hairdresser once and for all?
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV.
