Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to mock a message made by an ITV star before the latest episode aired.

The announcer said: "Emmerdale next with scenes some viewers may find upsetting".

In the village, Faith Dingle (Sally Dexter) made the decision to stop her chemotherapy treatment.

It comes after a scan which reveals that the cancer has spread.

Faith decided that she’s going to try to enjoy the rest of her life as much as possible, which means she no longer wants any treatment that leaves her feeling ill.

She stunned daughter Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) by telling her doctor that she doesn’t want any more chemo.

Chas pleaded with her to reconsider but is eventually forced to accept that Faith has made her decision.

When Faith's son Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) found out, Chas is shocked that he makes a big show of not seeming to care either way.

However, when Cain is alone it’s clear that he’s struggling with the idea that his mother is dying.

Faith’s most heartfelt wish is for her son to forgive her and for them to have a loving relationship.

Elsewhere, Naomi turned up in the village after coming face-to-face with her adopted dad Charles Anderson earlier this week.

Fans learned last October that, as well as Ethan Anderson (Emile John), that Charles had another child.

Naomi was born after Charles and his wife Esme split up.

Charles had cheated on Esme shortly after Ethan was born, while Esme was suffering from post natal depression.

The vicar decided to search for his daughter and ended up in the pub where Naomi was woking.

As her boss tried to prevent her from leaving, Charles stepped in to shove the man.

"Stay away from my daughter," he demanded.

Charles ended up being taken down to the police station, before ultimately being released without charge.
