First look: Suki jailed for Ranveer's murder in EastEnders as police swoop in?

EastEnders is about to turn up the heat on Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) as she is questioned by police over Ranveer’s murder.

This week, Suki’s world was thrown further into chaos when she came face to face with killer husband Nish (Navin Chowdhry), but things will get much worse.

As these new pictures show, the police are about to haul her in for questioning after the body of Ranveer is found.

As far as Suki is concerned, she was the one to kill him after he tried to rape her; but viewers know that it was actually Ravi (Aaron Thiara) who finished him off.

In the wake of the body being discovered, the main players are all in chaos as they try to keep truths from coming to light.

But are Ravi and Nina set to let Suki go down for the crime?

The matriarch retains composure and steely edge during interview, but it won’t be enough to knock the police off the scent.

While she is in the interrogation, back home Kheerat (Jaz Deol) wants answers, while Ravi is struggling to decide what to do for the best.

Ravi receives a similar call from the police, telling him they want to speak to him, which is overheard by Kheerat and Nish.

Is Kheerat about to learn the truth about that fateful day? Elsewhere, Nina is on edge, fearing that she might be the one to be framed for Ranveer’s murder.

When he does eventually go to the station, Ravi comes under pressure to discuss his past relationships with the Panesars, including Suki.

It’s all a mess – so who will this be pinned on?

At any rate, Balvinder is enjoying every minute of exploring the many different facets to alter ego Suki.

‘I love it, I think it’s brilliant,’ she enthused to Metro.co.uk.

‘As people we’re 3, 4, 5, 6 dimensional, aren’t we, we’ve got lots more to give and we react to situations in different ways.

‘I think it’s a breath of fresh air that we’re able to see the other parts to Suki. And I like playing it because it means that I can tell a different story.

On life with the Panesar clan, the actress added: ‘It’s great, it’s absolutely brilliant. I love that we’re expanding and the Panesars are a brilliant family to be a part of.

‘We work together as a unit and we each have our separate dynamism. I think the audiences like that, they enjoy that.’

EastEnders airs these scenes on Wednesday November 2 at 7:30pm on BBC One.
