GMB presenter bursts into tears on air as Susanna Reid forced to comfort co-star

The Good Morning Britain team were moved to tears by a heart wrenching clip from singer Lewis Capaldi's latest music video.

Entertainment journalist Richard Arnold highlighted the tearjerking story shown in the music video, before a clip aired and saw him get teary eyed.

A teary eyed Richard was then comforted by host Susanna Reid had to reach over and extend a comforting hand to the emotional presenter as he blinked away tears.

He wasn't alone either, as the camera panned to the Good Morning Britain team holding tissues after the emotional clip of the relationship between a man and a dog was shown.

Susanna asked entertainment and showbiz guru Richard: "Did you cry?"

Richard replied: "Oh Susanna, oh mate. I mean any pet lover…" before cutting to a sweet clip from the music video for Lewis Capaldi's latest release 'Wish You The Best'.

As the cameras rejoined the studio, a choked up Richard said: "Heartbreaking, it's heartbreaking isn't it?"

Co-host Martin Lewis asked, "Are you about to blub?", as Susanna joined in to add "He's gone! He's blubbing!"

A red eyed and emotional Richard shuffled his notes as he said: "I just think it's beautiful, it's beautiful."

The camera panned to the GMB crew all pretending to wipe away their tears with tissues behind the scenes as Susanna added: "Oh they're off."

It wasn't just the GMB crew and stars that found the music video moving, as viewers also found the clip and video tearjerking.

One viewer tweeted: "@LewisCapaldi's new music video is basically springs version of the John Lewis Advert."

Another added: "No me crying at half 8 in the morning because of@LewisCapaldi new music video."

"@LewisCapaldi ‘wish you the best’ music video just partly played on @GMB and quite honestly think the whole national probably ended up crying," said a third.

A fourth wrote: "@GMB oh my days watched the Lewis Capaldi video – am in absolute bits."

A fifth added: "#GMB – curiosity got to me and had to watch @LewisCapaldi new video…. That man made me cry!"
