Savvy woman reveals how she made a bar in her garden for free – using goodies given away on Facebook Marketplace | The Sun

WITH summer just around the corner, many of us will be looking to spruce up our gardens ready for BBQ season.

But one savvy woman named Charlene Smith has proven that you haven't got to splash the cash if you're looking to transform your boring garden patio.

Instead, she revealed how she managed to give hers a fabulous update without spending a penny – by creating a stylish bar out of freebies she nabbed from Facebook Marketplace.

Taking to Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, she shared several photos revealing how she upcycled a console table and two stools.

She penned: "Always keep an eye out on market place and your local free groups, 1 man's trash is another man's treasure.

"These were both free ( console table and stools) by two separate people, might not be too everyone's taste but they've both got a new lease of life for us to enjoy."

Charlene simply painted the console table a darker shade of brown, before adding pretty floral decoration to the exterior.

To make the bar look even more welcoming to guests, she also placed a bottle of Baileys centre stage along with two wine glasses.
