Good Morning Britain viewers couldn't help but cringe when one of the show's reporters was “snubbed” live on air from Elton John’s Oscars party.
Ed Balls and Susanna Reid were back at the helm of the ITV news programme on Monday (March 13) as they covered the antics from last night’s Oscars awards bash.
The show had sent some of its reporters out to various locations, including Noel Phillips who was at Elton John’s Oscars party fundraiser.
However things took a slightly awkward turn when Noel attempted to head into the star-studded event.
Trying to walk past the guards, Noel was abruptly stopped by a guard who said: “Sorry the party is over – no entry please.”
Noel then quipped back: “But Elton said we could come in.”
Laughing to himself and looking at the camera, the security guard insisted: “The party is over.”
Turning back to the camera and speaking to GMB hosts, Noel said: “Well we did try guys.”
And it didn’t take long for viewers to share their thoughts on the awkward rejection.
“Snubbed at the Oscars," said one person followed by a laughing emoji.
Echoing their thoughts, someone else added: "Omg did that really happen?
