Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway was left utterly red-faced when her phone went off mid-interview with climate change protestors.

During Thursday’s visit (July 6) to the ITV studios, Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard woke up the nation with the latest headlines in the news.

One of the biggest stories on everybody's lips was the latest public protest by Just Stop Oil demonstrators who interrupted a high-profile game on Wednesday (July 5).

Disappointed fans watched three protestors run onto court 18 throwing glitter and jigsaw pieces during a match between Grigor Dimitrov and Sho Shimabukur.

To get a better understanding behind the act, the presenting duo welcomed environmentalist Swampy and a member of Extinction Rebellion onto the show to share their thoughts on the protest.

But things didn’t go quite to plan after the veteran broadcaster’s phone accidentally went off twice during their heated interview.

The blonde bombshell profusely apologised as she struggled to silence her phone while Susanna continued with the interview.

After the interview came to an end, Ben was quick to ask Kate what had happened, saying: "We're still talking about phone-gate by the way, have we managed to succour the technology?"
