GMB’s Richard Madeley welcomes fifth grandchild and shares gorgeous name and first picture

Richard Madeley confirmed the arrival of his fifth grandchild in a sweet tribute on Good Morning Britain on Monday.

The TV presenter, 67, announced the happy news on the ITV show, revealing his son Jack, 37, welcomed his second child with wife Issy around five days ago.

Doting grandfather Richard shared the happy news with co-host Susanna Reid, 52, after she said: "And you've been adding to your family, haven't you Richard?"

Richard, who shares children Jack and Chloe with wife Judy Finnigan, 75, then responded: "Well I have to say, yes. Little Wren is my fifth grandchild. She's only about five days old."

A photograph of Richard holding baby Wren then appeared on the screen, along with a close up snap of the newborn.

"That's little Wren, she's a sweetie," dad-of-two Richard proudly told Susanna.

Wren is Richard's fifth grandchild. He is grandad to Ivy and Eden – who are the daughters of one of Judy's twin sons from her first marriage to David Henshaw – as well as baby Bodhi, one, who is the daughter of Chloe and her husband James Haskell. Jack and Issy are also parents to son Kit, four.

Richard's happy news comes after his daughter Chloe was spotted without her wedding ring on a night out.

The absence of Chloe's ring came after photos emerged of James talking closely to a mystery blonde while enjoying a night outside celebrity hotspot Chiltern Firehouse in London in the early hours of Friday morning.

However, the couple have been quick to shoot down any speculation, with a spokesperson for James telling OK!: "The woman pictured is a friend of James’s group who he just met that night. They were simply having a conversation outside so there is nothing to this story."

The rugby ace also took to Instagram on Sunday to share a sweet snap of Chloe and their daughter Bodhi, which he simply captioned: "What a couple of dream boats [two heart emojis] @madeleychloe."

The couple, who met in 2014 and married in 2018, welcomed their first child Bodhi into the world on 10 August 2022, and Chloe has been very open about her motherhood journey so far, admitting that she and James went through a rough patch in their relationship after becoming parents.
