Gogglebox set for schedule shake-up as Channel 4 announces big change to this week's episode | The Sun

GOGGLEBOX has announced that there has been a change in schedule for next week – as Channel 4 announce a big change to this weeks episode.

The reality TV show will air on Saturday, October 22, instead of Friday, October 21.

The entertainment show – which sees Britain's wittiest armchair critics have their say on the week's best television shows – usually airs every Friday at 9pm.

But viewers were left disappointed after the fan-favourite show was postponed by 24 hours to make room for Friday Night Live.

To celebrate 40 years of the flagship channel, Ben Elton will be hosting a revival of the iconic show that aired back in the 1980s for a one-off 90 minute special.

The change in schedule is only going to happen next week, and Gogglebox should return to it's original Friday 9pm slot.

Meanwhile, in the latest episode, the Goggleboxers watched Strictly Come Dancing's Movie week and Pete Sandiford try to recreate Tony Adams’s hip thrusts from his Full Monty dance routine.

The routine saw Adams wearing a pair of glittery shorts and an unbuttoned white shirt with a hat, and Pete recreated his routine on the sofa in front of Sophie, who looked extremely unimpressed.

"This is the way you do a proper hip thruster," Pete said while balancing on the sofa.

Sophie was definitely not amused, "Sit down you dick," she replied.

Friday Night Live was originally broadcast as Saturday Live before it was moved to a different day.

While this left fans of 80s television over the moon, many Gogglebox viewers admitted they were "gutted" by the news that their favourite show has been moved.

Many took to Twitter to show their disappointment. With one writing: "They didn’t just announce that #Gogglebox will be on Saturday nights instead of Friday nights from next week, did they?"

Another chimed in: "I bloody well hope not. We need our light-hearted Gogglebox by the end of the week on a Friday night! It’s what Friday nights were made for."

Gogglebox airs on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
