HELEN Flanagan has revealed that her son Charlie was rushed to hospital after a 'horrendous' Alton Towers waterpark accident.

The former Coronation Street star opened up about the worrying ordeal on her Instagram story.



Helen recounted the scary ordeal as she cuddled up with her daughter Delilah, seven, on the train.

The actress headed to Stoke-on-Trent to stay at the CBeebies Land Hotel in the Alton Towers Resort with her three kids Delilah, Matilda, four, and Charlie, one.

But during their trip her youngest suffered a terrible fall.

The soap star, who played Rosie Webster in Corrie, told one million followers: "We went to a water park, a long story short,Charlie slipped, he slipped really really badly and it was awful, absolutely horrendous.

"I had to get an ambulance and he had snapped his collarbone into two. It was horrendous, so I spent like six hours in the hospital at Stoke."

The mum-of-three went on to thank the health professionals who helped her.

"I'd like to say thank you to the paramedics and nurses and doctors who were amazing.

"Thank you so much. That was awful, just horrible, horrible, horrible.
