Coronation Street spoilers have revealed Ed Bailey will try his best to keep the truth about his gambling a secret despite his son, Michael Bailey, being arrested.
The residents of Weatherfield are still coming to terms with the crimes committed by Stephen Reid, and the police are still trying to work out what happened during recent months.
One of the crimes that Stephen committed was stealing £250,000 from the factory by convincing Micheal to give him his access codes to the bank.
As a result of his innocent part in the theft, Micheal was sacked from his job at Underworld and asked his dad, Ed, and uncle Ronnie, for the £1,000 he invested in their business back.
Viewers watched on Monday, 23 October, as Ed gambled the money on a horse, which luckily won, but when he got home with the winnings, he stuffed it in a bag in the hallway in a bid to hide it from his children.
Unaware of what was inside, Michael picked up the bag on the way to the factory to get his job back, but when he arrived, DS Swain was there to ask him a few questions about what happened with Stephen.
Once he answered the questions, Michael opened his bag and was stunned to find the cash inside. DS Swain was quick to notice it and demanded to know where it had come from.
Micheal was then taken away in a police car for questioning, and later, when he was released, Ed lied to him and said the cash was a gift.
Tonight, Tuesday, 24 October, Ronnie continues to question his brother about the money, leaving Ed agitated.
Ed has told him that a friend lent him the money, but Ronnie suspects that he has been gambling again.
As the pressure builds, Ed admits that he had a win on the horses, but that he is now done with gambling again, and assures Ronnie that it won’t happen again. Will Ronnie believe him?
Elsewhere, Ryan Conner and Daisy Midgeley get even closer after sleeping together last week.
At the Bistro, Daisy is annoyed to see a customer staring at Ryan’s scars, but when Ryan calmly explains that he was a victim of an acid attack, she is full of admiration.
Later, Daisy praises Ryan for the way he dealt with the situation, and Ryan admits that he couldn’t have done it without her.
As the pair speak, it becomes clear that they have feelings for one another, despite Daisy being engaged to Daniel Osbourne.
