Jade Goody’s son Bobby Brazier joins BBCs EastEnders as Little Mos son

Beloved TV star Jade Goody’s son Bobby Brazier is set to make his acting debut as he joins the cast of EastEnders in the role of Freddie Slater.

The late star’s son will reprise the role of the son of Little Mo Slater having not been seen in Walford since May 2006 when the pair left to start a new life.

Bobby is currently filming scenes that are set to air this autumn.

Now an 18-year-old Freddie is set to arrive on The Square as he finds himself on a mission that could end in heartbreak.

On joining EastEnders, Bobby said: “I’m really excited to be joining the cast of EastEnders – so far it’s been perfect.

“Everybody has been so beautiful to me and made settling in easier than I could’ve hoped. Stepping into the acting world has always been a vision of mine and doing that with EastEnders as a Slater is a blessing, I'm very grateful.

“Loving every minute of Freddie so far and can’t wait to see what’s in store for him in Walford.”

Chris Clenshaw, Executive Producer, added: “Freddie Slater is a chaotic 18-year-old with a sensitive soul.

"A modern-day lad who’s in touch with his spiritual side.

“He’s philosophical, accepting, but full of mischief and makes mistakes. Bobby is an amazing young addition to the EastEnders cast who brings heart and humility to the role of Freddie Slater and I can’t wait for audiences to get to know him.”

Bobby has been making a name for himself in the modelling world, having walked for Dolce and Gabbana earlier this year.

And Jade Goody's former partner Jeff Brazier, 43, gushed over their model son on Instagram last month as he shared a series of sweet throwback snaps.

TV presenter Jeff – who also shares Freddie, 16, with Jade – looked every inch the doting father in the loving pictures as he marked the special occasion.

Alongside the snaps, Jeff penned: 'Happy 19th @bobbybrazier! It’s been my privilege to watch you develop over the last 19 years and your progress has given me & anyone that cares about you such immense pride & satisfaction.

'I hope it feels good to know that your achievements no matter how big or small, bring people a lot of joy and I look forward to supporting you with love through whatever comes next.

'We’ve gone through a lot, we’ve come a long way and you deserve your opportunities. Wishing you all the happiness'

EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One at 7.30pm
