Kate Garraway and Ben Shephard in shock as 'Tom the cameraman' pops up behind their desk in Good Morning Britain blunder | The Sun

KATE Garraway and Ben Shephard got a shock today when acameraman wandered into view on Good Morning Britain.

The live blunder happened after the screen returned to the presenters following a debate about Prime Minister Boris Johnson standing down.

Tom ran from behind their desk with a huge camera strapped to his body as Ben, 47, informed viewers what was coming up on the ITV breakfast show.

Ben said: "Martin Lewis will be joining us telling us what the government need to do …

"Oh hi, Tom. You alright? You popped up there. Looking for a job?"

"He's here. He's in!" Kate said.

"Will you throw your hat into the ring for leader?"

Ben joked: "I told you about that shot Tom that's where the bald patch is."

Tom then reversed back into view as the hosts continued to present the show.

Weather presenter Laura, 40, was recently caught in an awkward GMBgaffe when she confused Adil Ray with Aled Jones – eight years after he last hosted the breakfast show.

Laura said: "Well I've moved to lavender and lavandin fields, I was talking about them before, Aled.

"'Aled', I'm so sorry. I don't know why I said Aled, that was a long time ago, Adil!"

She continued to present the weather, but was challenged on her error later by Adil, 48.

"Did Laura confuse me with Aled Jones?," he asked.

Laura then attempted to defend herself by explaining why she had Aled, 51, on the brain.

"Can I just say, I've been messaging Aled because I'm going for breakfast with him," she said.

"And my brother texted me yesterday to say that his friends are on a cruise with Aled and they all had a nice party last night…

But Adil wasn't having any of it. He cheekily replied: "Wow, well that was better than 'the dog ate my homework'.

"Let's move on, I'm not convinced."

Afterwards, Laura privately texted Adil to apologise – but when it was brought up again on air she made the same mistake AGAIN.

Adil was teasing Laura by calling her Lisa after her gaffe, but as she told viewers about the text message she called him Aled for a second time.

Laura then joked: "This is my last day at Good Morning Britain, it's been great. I can't think of a better way to go."

Aled used to present ITV's Daybreak before it rebranded to Good Morning Britain.
