Kate Garraway’s Life Stories: Anton Du Beke in ‘powerful’ interview
Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway has been slammed for her recent interview with Omid Djalili as viewers questioned her interviewing techniques.
The episode with the Iranian-British actor aired on Wednesday, August 16 and saw him open up about his erratic home life and bumpy school years.
Despite the powerful interview, some viewers were left annoyed with Kate and took to their Twitter accounts to slam the show.
@johnrahers slammed: “Kate Garraway doesn’t seem to let any guest properly reply to her questions without her chucking another one at them.
“It’s quite difficult to watch. Messes with the rhythm and flow of the chat. #LifeStories.” (sic)

@Gerundagula noted: “This Kate Garraway #LifeStories is cringe-worthy…”
Another user added: “Garraway was awful in her ability to get the best out of Omid.”
Sian Tinson said: “I’m sorry but Kate needs to stop interrupting people when they speak. It’s Life Stories of the guest, not you.” (sic)
But many fans came to her defence and praised her interview with Omid, @MitchellWebb85 penned: “@kategarraway is the perfect host for #Lifestories she is such a lovely woman.

“We all know her story and what she’s going through but she just puts herself out there and makes her guests feel at ease.
“You can tell she cares about each of them and is doing a fantastic job I love her.” (sic)

During his interview with Kate, Omid shared how he sat his A-levels six times, forged his exam results and was initially turned down by 16 drama schools.

Despite the many setbacks he faced, he was able to work through and launch a successful acting career ranging from Hollywood films to the West End stage.
He also told Kate about how he continued writing jokes about race and religion despite threats to his personal safety.
During the return of the ITV series, Kate has also spoken too comedian and presenter Ruby Wax and Strictly Come Dancing legend Anton Du Beke.
