KING of the Hill actor Johnny Hardwick has been announced dead at the age of 59.
The police responded to a welfare check at the late actor's home in Texas, according to TMZ.
A welfare check is a visit to someone's home in order to check if an individual does not have any problems, according to Cambridge.org.
Law enforcement sources told the publication that they were called to the Texas home on August 8 and discovered his corpse.
The voice actor was pronounced dead at the scene.
No foul play is suspected by the authorities.
The cause of death is unknown at this time.
In response to Johnny's death, the King of the Hill creator, Mike Judge, shared a frame from the cartoon on Instagram.
HIS LEGACY
Johnny is best known for playing the voice of neighbor Dale Gribble in the animated Fox sitcom.
Dale wasthe conspiracy theory/gun fanatic friend of propane salesman Hank Hill (voiced by Beavis and Butt-head creator Mike Judge).

He also served as a staff writer, story editor, and producer on the Fox comedy as well.
In 1999,the late comedian won an Emmy award for Outstanding Animated Program as a producer.
On the animated program, Dale got into hijinks while working on various gigs like an exterminator, a camp counselor, and a bounty hunter.
He raised his son Joseph Gribble, the love child of his wife Nancy Hicks-Gribble and her boyfriend, John Redcorn.
Devoted to his wife, Dale ignored the affair and always treated Joseph as his biological son.
The cast also included the late Brittany Murphy as the voice of Luanne Platter, the niece of Hank's wife, Peggy Hill.
In his live-action performances, Johnny performed stand-up and appeared on The Jon Stewart Show.
On September 12, 2012, Hardwick created his own YouTube channel, which consisted of song parodies and performed monologues in the voice of his animated character.
After a hiatus in 2015, the late comic returned to uploading new content in 2018.
THE REBOOT
In January, a revival of the hit sitcom was announced, with the voice talents of the original series, including Johnny, returning as well.
It is unclear how much Johnny recorded for the show before his death.
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the reboot is executive produced by original co-creators Mike and Greg Daniels, and new showrunner, Saladin Patterson.
The revival is expected to air on the Hulu streaming voice.
Details about the new episodes have been kept under wraps.
The setting in Arlen, Texas might take place in the current year.
A release date has not yet been announced as of yet.
