Love Island fans gutted as Dami and Indiyah finish third in final: ‘It’s an absolute fix’

Love Island fans were gutted after Dami Hope and Indiyah Polack finished in third place during the show's finale.

The couple, who have been together for the majority of the series, placed third in front of Tasha Ghouri and Andrew Le Page, but sadly didn't make it to the final two.

And despite the fact the winners were chosen by viewer votes, plenty of fans were disappointed with the result.

One wrote: "Nah this is a fix how tf is Luca and Gemma top 2. Tasha and Andrew, Indiyah and Dami should've been above Gemma and Luca. This show is a fix."

"Can’t believe Dami and Indiyah are third?! If Luca and Gemma win it’s an absolute fix! He’s nothing but a walking red flag," fumed another.

Several fans couldn't believe they didn't go on to win the whole show, with one tweeting: "Indiyah and Dami being third is outrageous. There’s no hope."

Even 2019 winner Amber Gill was angry with the result, tweeting: "FIX! FIXXXXXXX!"

She added: "Na never again I’m sorry NEVER AGAIN!!!!! i hate all of yous," clearly unhappy with the public vote.

While Dami and Indiyah now seem like they've been together since day one, they both started off with separate partners after the public voted for Indiyah to be paired with Ikenna Ekwonna, and Dami to be with Amber Beckford.

They tried to make things work with the retrospective partners, but eventually worked out that they actually had eyes for each other.

Dami and Indiyah had planned on breaking the news to Amber and Ikenna face-to-face after deciding to pursue things, but they ended up being dumped from the villa before they could tell them – leaving Amber in particular being blindsided by the pair’s romance.

Amber may not have been championing the pair’s relationship at first, but the couple have since earnt the name ‘Damiyah’ from both viewers and their fellow Islanders in light of their budding romance.

It’s not all been smooth sailing however, as Dami and Indiyah endured a blip during Casa Amor when both of them coupled up with new people and had a heated exchange at the firepit.

It looked like things were all over between them, but viewers were overjoyed to see them reconcile.

Indiyah may have let his Casa Amor antics slide – including that three-way kiss – but her mum and sister sure haven’t.

Indiyah’s mum Dee and sister Shak told her of Dami during the Meet The Parents episode: "The behaviour, and I’m sure Shak will tell Dami, he’s not been cleared yet. He’s not cleared in my eyes yet either…"

And when Dee met Dami, she had some questions, including: "So explain the three-way kiss.”

Looks like Dami has some work to do…
