Love Island stars call Ofcom after shakeup as Olivia is given the power

Furious Love Island fans have threatened to complain to Ofcom after Olivia Hawkins was given all the power in the latest dumping twist.

During Wednesday’s (March 2) visit to the South African villa, beloved host Maya Jama returned to the villa for a surprise dumping controlled by the latest public vote.

The latest couple to say goodbye to the lavish mansion was the former ring girl and her partner Maxwell Samuda were the latest couple to be booted from the ITV2 dating show.

But their time on the show wasn’t over just yet after the TV presenter gave the power to evicted couple to determine who should join them on the flight back to the UK.

She told the Islanders: “Olivia and Maxwell are not the only ones leaving. Two more Islanders will also be dumped tonight.

“That decision is not down to the public or your fellow Islanders, it’s actually down to you, Olivi and Maxwell.”

And it’s fair to say the decision didn’t sit well with viewers with fans online after they shared their theories that Jessie Wynter will be leaving the show.

Many were convinced that the Australian beauty is next to be booted after she called Olivia out for talking behind her back and for branding her “fake” to the other Islanders earlier on in the episode.

Taking to Twitter, some fans threatened to call watchdogs Ofcom after the latest ITV shake-up, with one user tweeting: “Nah, not gonna lie never reported to ofcom about anything but I am tonight.”

Another agreed: “I’ve just complained to OFCOM! ITV are promoting and accepting the manipulative behaviour of Olivia by given her the control and power.

“She has continued to gaslight her fellow Islanders the whole time she’s been in there and the twist proves that ITV condone such behaviour!!”

A third complained: “Honestly if it turns out Olivia can choose any couple to be dumped the guarantee I'll be making a phone call to ofcom because she’s obviously gonna be biased and choose Kai which is proper taking the p*** out of the public.”

Meanwhile, another user echoed: “I really hope Olivia can only pick between the bottom couples because if she even looks in Kai’s direction, I’m writing to Ofcom.”
