Love Islands Gemma Owen poised for new show following footballers daughters

Gemma Owen will reportedly star in a new reality show highlighting the lives of footballer’s daughters.

After her success on Love Island, where she placed second with boyfriend Luca Bish, the stunning brunette has already landed a super lucrative deal with Pretty Little Thing – so this show will just take her to the next level.

Gemma, 19, is the daughter of footie ace Michael Owen, a fact she kept under wraps while on the hit ITV show.

But now it seems her famous old man could be the key.

It is reported that Gemma has been headhunted to appear in the show, which will be produced by the same company behind TOWIE and Celebs Go Dating.

It could also feature Bianca Gascoigne, daughter of Paul Gascoigne.

A source told The Sun: "Her dad Michael is one of England’s most famous footballing stars and given her huge popularity since she appeared on Love Island – she is the person they want signed up.

“This new series is being billed as a one-of-a-kind show which will reveal what it is really like to be the daughter of a famous football star.”

The show will reportedly catalogue the trials and tribulations of being a footballer's daughter, including the girls trying to make names for themselves.

Daily Star has reached out to Gemma's representative for a comment.

Speaking previously about her PLT deal, Gemma gushed: "I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special."

She continued: "The team has been amazing and I'm excited to get to work and start designing some collections for you all."

Gemma was criticised during her the time in the Love Island villa with some viewers stating that bosses were giving her loads of airtime "due to her famous dad".

Other offspring of celebs this year included a surprise appearance from Jack Keating, son of Boyzone legend Ronan.

Hilariously Jack, 23, landed himself in hot water with his singer dad after he said on the ITV2 dating show that his was was retiring.
