Felix Westwood (Richard Blackwood) made a huge decision about his future in Hollyoaks on Monday (August 28), departing the eponymous village to get involved in fights up and down the country.
The mechanic, as viewers have become aware, is seriously struggling, with the exit of his son DeMarcus’ (Tomi Ade) having left him feeling like a shall of his former self.
His anger has since spiralled out of control, with him coming to believe that the only way to deal with frustrations is by getting involved in illegal underground fights, which often end with him getting beat to within an inch of his life.
Monday’s first look offering of the Channel 4 soap picked up from where the previous left off, with a battered and bruised Felix taken to the garage, where Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) feared for his life, after the brutal attack carried out by his opponent during the latest brawl.
Despite having been knocked unconscious, however, Felix refused to stop fighting when he eventually came round, ordering both Mercedes and Sharon Bailey (Jamelia) to stay out of his business.
Charming.
Mercedes refused to listen, however, reiterating him that she’s not going anywhere as she ordered him to see sense and stop the fighting, but Felix’s frustrations got the better of him once again, with subsequent scenes seeing him terrify Mercedes by punching a hole in her wall – inches from where she had been previously.
Mercedes ordered him out but later told Goldie (Chelsee Healey) that she’ll continue to be there for Felix because she loves him, which left her cousin evidently worried.

Felix, meanwhile, agreed to pay off the debts he owes to fight organiser Irvine by taking part in brawls up and down the country, telling him that there is ‘nothing left’ in Hollyoaks for him anymore.
But have we really seen the last of Felix?
Metro.co.uk understands that he will be back – and he could be in for more heartache as during his absence from the village, Mercedes starts an affair with Warren Fox (Jamie Lomas)!
Hollyoaks continues Tuesday August 29 at 7pm on E4 or stream the next episode from midnight on All4.
