Married At First Sight UK's Georges shares ‘hardest part’ of show as wife Peggy threatened to QUIT and begged to go home | The Sun

MARRIED At First Sight UK star Georges has shared the “hardest moment” of the show, which saw his wife Peggy threatening to quit.

Sports physio Georges, 30, married Peggy this week – a 32-year-old technology risk partner from Kent – in a stunning wedding ceremony.

But while the pair “had a strong attraction to one another from the off,” it has been far from plain sailing for the newlyweds on the series.

Georges said Peggy was desperate to go home after suffering an allergic reaction during one part of filming.

He told The Sun: “There was a period of time on the show when my partner Peggy was unwell. She had an allergic reaction to the grass in Wembley where the apartment was.

“Our apartments were sniffing distance from Wembley and there was a part when she came into the apartment and didn’t look like herself and couldn’t stop crying.

“She was like ‘babe I can’t do it I have to go home’ I was like ‘Ok if that’s what you want to do we work on this on the outside and if it works it works and if it doesn’t then it doesn’t.

“We didn’t end up leaving then but it was the hardest part for me.”

And that wasn’t the only time Peggy nearly quit the popular reality show.

When quizzed about if she had contemplated walking out of the E4 romantic experiment, she told The Sun: "Yes, on the honeymoon.

"You’ve got the judgement of others as well, I’m a girly girl, I like to hear my girl's opinions and if a girl says one thing and you start to question it and say ‘does he do that? am I not seeing it, am I being blinded?’”

The French hunk also wanted to walk away from filming himself at points, when he and Peggy butted heads during the show.

“I thought I can’t do this she’s way too difficult and doesn’t want to listen, she doesn’t understand me or nothing is good enough,” Georges continued, adding: “I was bending over backwards. If you give me feedback I’ll work on it and let me know where I’m going wrong I’ll fix it.

“But at times I’d be sat there thinking is this for me? I literally couldn’t do anything right.

“She’s great to look at but she’s after a different calibre of man. She’s very old school and I’m very much new school and old school. At times I was like this girl is born in the wrong era. I was definitely kept on my toes.”

Despite their ups and downs though, Georges said Peggy was “just what he’d asked the experts for.”

The gaming fanatic shared: “When I met her I was blown away. I was very particular but everything I asked for I got.

“Peggy was incredible and I had a lovely time at the wedding.”
