Former health secretary Matt Hancock has had his Tory whip suspended as he was confirmed as an additional campmate for this year's series of I'm A Celebrity.
The Conservative Party suspended the whip after it emerged the former Health Secretary – who has a book due out soon – will be flying Down Under for the ITV hit show.
The former health secretary has now been tipped as the contestant who will take part in the most Bushtucker trials this series, which is a staple segment of the show.
In the trials, campmates will face challenges involving creepy crawlies and often animal genitals in order to gain food packages for the whole camp.
As I'm A Celeb is now in its 22nd series, there have been many Bushtucker trials over the years – but which former campmate has completed the most in I'm A Celeb history?
Here's everything you need to know.
Who has completed the most Bushtucker trials in I'm A Celeb history?
Former model Janice Dickinson currently holds the title for most Bushtucker trials in I'm A Celeb history.
She faced eight live Bushtucker trials while on the show in 2007, with her feisty attitude causing viewers to vote for her to compete in the challenges.
Music producer Naughty Boy, who starred in the 2021 series, is in second place with a total of seven live Bushtucker trials while on the show.
Another notable mention is nutritionist Gillian McKeith who competed in six trials on the show in 2010, with one causing her to dramatically faint.
What has Matt Hancock said about joining I'm A Celebrity?
The former health secretary has defended his decision to join I'm A Celebrity after facing backlash from fellow MPs and the public.
Writing in the Sun, the former health secretary said politicians must "go where the people are".
"I haven't lost my marbles or had one too many pina coladas," he insisted.
The MP landed Down Under on Sunday ahead of the launch show of I'm A Celeb, where he will join the camp alongside former Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Singer Boy George and radio DJ Chris Moyles.
Current odds for I'm A Celebrity 2022
The MP is currently 1-2 with Coral to do more Bushtuckers than any previous contestant in the show's history.
“Punters have been knocking us over to back Matt Hancock to be the first contestant to leave I'm A Celeb. They believe the former Health Secretary will get the boot from the public at the first opportunity," said Coral's John Hill.
"Hancock is as short as 1-2 to do more Bucktucker Trials than any other contestant in I'm A Celeb history," added Hill.
In the outright betting on the series, Jill Scott is the 3-1 favourite with Coral, while Olivia Attwood and Mike Tindall are next best at 5-1.
