MORGAN FREEMAN'S hand has stirred up questions and concerns following his surprise appearance at the 2022 World Cup and his presentation at the 2023 Oscars ceremony.
Devoted fans want to know more about why the 85-year-old Hollywood star wears a glove on his left hand.
What happened to Morgan Freeman's hand?
Following a nearly fatal car crash in 2008, Morgan Freeman's left hand was left paralyzed and the actor has had to wear a compression glove on the hand to keep the blood flowing.
The nearly fatal accident left his hand paralyzed. Freeman told PEOPLE back in 2010: “I suffered nerve damage and it hasn’t gotten better. I can’t move it."
Freeman also struggles with fibromyalgia. During an interview with Esquire in 2012, interviewer, Tom Chiarella explained: “It hurts when he walks, when he sits still, when he rises from his couch, and when he missteps in a damp meadow.
"More than hurts. It seems a kind of agony, though he never mentions it. Despite surgery to repair nerve damage, he was stuck with a useless left hand.

Viewers did not fail to spot that Freeman, who famously played God in the 2003 film, Bruce Almighty, was wearing a golden glove on one hand at the 2022 World Cup opening ceremony in Qatar.
He appeared appearing alongside Ghanim Al Muftah, a Qatari YouTuber who doesn't have any legs.
Freeman was, once again, seen with a glove on his left hand at the 95th Academy Awards on March 12, 2023.
