Outlander star issues ‘squeamish’ warning to fans with health update

Outlander season 7 episode 8 trailer

Outlander star Sophie Skelton needed the surgical skills of the hit show’s Claire Fraser recently, but thankfully, her surgeons came to her rescue.

The 29-year-old actress took to her Instagram to post a video of herself getting stitches taken out of a healed incision on her left ring finger by her surgeons.

In the clip, Skelton pans over what looks like an eating area somewhere and says: “So soothing,” before panning to a woman pulling out her stitches and adding: “Hey guys.”

She asks: “Are you having fun?” The woman holding tweezers laughs and says: “So much fun.”

Skelton, who plays Brianna MacKenzie in the hit Starz show, wrote in the comments that her surgeons happened to be in the same city where she was waiting during a nine-hour layover.

Then, she issued a warnign to squeamish fans: “⚠️ don’t look if you’re squeamish.”

Whatever Skelton did to her finger, she’s no stranger to stitches.

In 2022, Skelton was rushed to hospital for emergency dental work (per Express UK).

The injury resulted in the extraction of damaged teeth and even part of her jaw bone.

The actress shared the results of her transformation, displaying her swollen face to followers on her Instagram.

She wrote: “Part of jaw bone, gum and soft tissue removed. Result? Next slide, please.”

Skelton added: “Disclaimer: #nofilter.”

In another slide, she wrote, “Remember, things can always get worse…,” before posting a photo of a heavily bandaged finger.

She added: “Accident prone Soph strikes again. Icing on the cake: A fractured finger [sic].”

Skelton has proved many times that she has a tendency of accidentally hurting herself.

On the set of Outlander, she almsot set herself on fire.

Most recently, during the filming of Season 7, Skelton nearly took down a wall after hitting some black ice while driving near the Lallybroch set.

So, it’s safe to say that Skelton is prone to accidents.
