Paul forces Aaron to dump Summer in Coronation Street ahead of fire

Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) has interfered in Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) relationship with Aaron Sandford (James Craven) in Coronation Street.

Paul confronted Aaron in a case of miscommunication.

He thought Aaron had got his hands on some weed and was secretly into drugs, but he actually stole them from Eric, his abusive and alcoholic father who often attacks Aaron when he’s drunk.

Tonight, a furious Eric arrived at the garage and grabbed his son, demanding the drugs and cash back.

With Tyrone (Alan Halsall), Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) and Maria (Samia Longchambon) watching on (seriously, why didn’t they stop him?!), Aaron was eventually saved by Kevin (Michael Le Vell), who soon scared Eric off.

Go on, Kev.

Once Paul heard about Aaron being in possession of weed, he marched over to the flat and confronted the teen, who was already exhausted after the run-in with Eric.

A tired and vulnerable Aaron ended up punching Paul in the face when he accused him of leading Summer astray.

As Paul planned to report Aaron to the police, Billy (Daniel Brocklebank) returned and listened in as the teenager showed him his sore arm and explained his dad is abusive but doesn’t want to leave him on his own.

After persuading Aaron to stay, Billy also managed to stop Paul from heading to the station – but that wasn’t the end to the matter.

On their own, Paul told Aaron that for Summer’s sake, he should leave and end their relationship, pointing out she really doesn’t need the drama in her life.

These scenes have aired ahead of the latest twist to Aaron’s storyline, which will see him discover Eric has been caught up in a house fire.

But will he listen to Paul and dump Summer, being left to deal with his dad all on his own?
