Phillip Schofield said he was an "enormous disappointment" to his late father as he confessed he wasn't a massive football fan.
The beloved ITV presenter spoke about his late dad Brian during a chat with England footy star Mason Mount on Wednesday's This Morning (June 15).
Phil joined his co-host Holly WIlloughby on the couch as they discussed all things football with the Chelsea midfielder.
The TV star quickly confessed he wasn't a "massive football follower", which left him open to a roasting from Holly.
Phil said: "I've said this on here before, I'm quite open to saying I'm not a massive football follower."
Holly quipped: "You don't say?", which prompted Mason to chuckle.
Phil went on: "I've got football mates and your husband [pointing to Holly] and they try. They do try. I was an enormous disappointment to my father who was a great player and loved his football."
The presenter's dad Brian died aged 72 from a long-term heart condition in 2008, which caused Phil to take a break from presenting This Morning.

The ITV star revealed he once managed to save his dad's life by giving him CPR – before stressing how important it is to know the medical technique.
Last year, he told This Morning: "We got 20 extra years with him because of that, so you just never know," he said.
"If I hadn't been in that night, then you know, that would have been it. So it [CPR] is worth knowing,"
Phil broke down in tears in 2020 when he revealed what his dad likely would have said about him coming out – during a chat with Chris Evans on his How to Wow podcast.

Evans asked him: "What do you think your dad would advise you to do now?"
Phil replied: "That's like a grenade going off in my head," before going quiet.
After composing himself, Phil answered: "When I went down to Cornwall when I told my mum, I said, 'What do you think dad would have said? Would he still be proud?
"Thankfully she said, 'Yes… he'll think you're brave and he will always be proud of you.' So that is good."
Mason Mount also spoke about the work he does with children's charity, Together For Short Lives.
