Ronan Keating breaks his silence on son Jack entering Love Island's Casa Amor | The Sun

RONAN Keating has spoken for the first time about his son Jack's arrival in the Love Island villa.

The Boyzone singer is giving his eldest his full support but admits it hasn't been easy watching the 23-year-old enter Casa Amor.


He told the Mail: "I won't lie, I've been nervous as hell.

"When I saw him walk into the villa my heart was beating out of my chest.

"I'm excited for him though, this is something he wanted to do, and I'll always support him and all my kids in their endeavours."

Last night viewers watched Jack get to know Gemma Owen, who also has a famous dad, retired footballer Michael Owen.

He wasted notime mentioning his celebrity pa, telling the dressage rider that he was currently on a solo tour.

Before enterign the villa, Jack said his dad, who also hosts The One Show, was "buzzing for me".

He added that he was doing the show because he's been single for five years – and insisted he would break up an established couple if he had to.

Casa Amor sees Love Island's couples put to the test – with the girls being sent away to a secret villa to meet a group of new boys.

Talking about Ronan, 45, before going into the villa Jack explained: "He will be watching when I’m on it for sure.

"He’s buzzing for me, me and my dad are very close, we’re best mates."

He added: "I’m very competitive, for sure. I play rugby back home in Dublin and in London so I’ve definitely got that competitive edge.

"I’m gonna have to potentially break up a couple maybe. It won’t be the most ideal thing, but I’ve got to do what’s best for me."
