Sharon Osbourne recalls Russell Brand remarks that stick with her in rant

Sharon Osbourne shares Russell Brand opinion about Kimberly Stewart

Sharon Osbourne has commented on the recent allegations against Russell Brand as she claims she’d noticed a few of his past remarks which “stick with” her.

Speaking on Piers Morgan: Uncensored on Wednesday, the TV personality was asked for her view on the current headlines surrounding Russell.

“Look, being a woman, when I hear these cases where women have been abused and taken advantage of, I automatically go to the woman’s side,” the 70-year-old commented.

She continued: “Because I love women, I care about them. So I am already on the women’s side.

“But you, you want to know, you want to know details, you want to know everything involved.

“The only thing I can say about Russell Brand, is the two things I don’t like, was when he spoke about…

“One of them is a very good friend of ours, Kimberley Stewart, about what he had done to Kimberley Stewart in front of her father [Rod Stewart] and then he did the same with Sir Bob Geldof…

“You just don’t do that to people’s families, when that father is in the room.

“He’s done it twice now and that’s the thing that sticks with me. But this situation he’s going through right now, you know, I don’t know details, so I can’t comment on it.”

Sharon’s remarks relate to Sir Rod’s 2006 clash with the comedian at the GQ Man of the Year Awards.

Russell told the audience: “Here’s to Rod Stewart who had a go at me earlier this year for too much womanising.

“But then again I did have a go on his daughter.”

The discussion surrounding the comedian comes following an investigation by The Times and Channel 4 which saw both outlets publishing claims made that Russell has raped, sexually assaulted and emotionally abused women.

Russell has denied the allegations, stating he “absolutely refutes” the allegations.

In a video statement, he went on: “These allegations pertain to the time when I was working in the mainstream, when I was in the newspapers all the time when I was in the movies, and as I’ve written about extensively in my books, I was very very promiscuous.

“Now during that time of promiscuity, the relationships I had were absolutely, always consensual.”

Uncensored airs Monday to Thursday at 9pm on TalkTV.
