“We’re excited to announce that new episodes of #Ahsoka will now launch Tuesdays at 6PM PT, starting with our two-episode premiere on August 22, only on @DisneyPlus.”

Ahsoka was first announced back in 2020 with The Mandalorian’s Rosario Dawson confirmed to be reprising her role as the titular lead.

Other cast members include Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger.

While Doctor Who and Staged actor David Tennant voices Huyang, a droid who was used by the Jedi for thousands of years.

Fans will also see Star Wars universe alumni return including Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma.

Dawson previously told Entertainment Weekly about transforming into the fearsome Jedi: “We timed ourselves every single day. Depending on how much skin was showing, sometimes it would go up to two hours.

“And that’s tough: We were going in at 4 in the morning every day so that we could be ready when the crew is there at 6.

“We’d have a full day, and then it would still take at least half an hour to take it all off.”
