Strictly Come Dancing release trailer for new series

Strictly Come Dancing has officially been confirmed to be returning to BBC One on Saturday, September 16 at 6.35pm on BBC One.

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman are returning to present the dancing competition alongside judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.

During the launch show spectacular, viewers will see three epic dance routines from the professionals which will set the mark for the rest of the series.

In one of the group numbers, all 15 celebrity contestants will be involved as well as all four of the judges.

A trailer for the 21st series was recently dropped giving viewers a sneak peek as to what is in store this year.

The clip was first released on the Strictly Come Dancing Instagram account where it wrote: “Get your dancing shoes on… Strictly Come Dancing 2023 coming soon #strictly #iplayer.”

Fan favourites such as Dianne Buswell, Johannes Radebe, Giovanni Pernice and Jowita Przystal could be seen in the trailer dressed in gold and dancing on a gold staircase.

Head judge Shirley recently joined This Morning presenters Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond to discuss the launch of the show, teasing there was a “treat in store”.

She revealed: “Now let me tell you, I think this is a fantastic cast, just when you think it can’t get any better it does.

“There is a treat in store on the opening show, I am not supposed to say that,” leaving Alison to push: “Is there? Are you dancing?”

Laughing at the probe, Shirley expressed: “I’m not, I didn’t say that! I did not say that, I just said there was a treat.”

Dave Arch and his wonderful band will once again provide the soundtrack to Saturday and Sunday nights all across the UK.

It Takes Two will also be returning on weeknights with Janette Manrara and new co-presenter Fleur East, who competed in the series last year.

The celebrities taking part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing are, Angela Rippon, Amanda Abbington, Layton Williams, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Eddie Kadi, Angela Scanlon, Zara McDermott, Adam Thomas, Nikita Kanda, Ellie Leach, Jody Cundy, Bobby Brazier, Nigel Harman, Annabel Croft and Les Dennis.
