Strictly fan favourite 'set for axe this weekend' after clash with Shirley Ballas | The Sun

KYM Marsh is the favourite to leave Strictly Come Dancing this week.

The actress, 46, has had a difficult couple of weeks on the show alongside pro Graziano Di Prima and has failed to impress the judges – in particular Shirley Ballas.

Kym is now the 6-4 favourite with bookmaker Coral to be the next contestant to leave the BBC show this weekend.

James Bye is 5-2 to depart, while Ellie Taylor is 3-1 to be the fifth contestant to go.

Wildlife presenter Hamza Yassin is the odds-on favourite at 8-11, with Will Mellor next best at 9-2.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Our betting suggests Kym Marsh’s Strictly journey will come to end this weekend. However, this series has been full of surprises when it comes to the dance-off and eliminations, so nobody will feel they are safe.

“Hamza Yassin continues to attract support to lift the Glitterball Trophy. The presenter is now odds-on to win the series.”

Former Corrie star Kym performed the Quickstep to Ballroom Blitz by The Sweet on last weekend's instalment of the dancing contest.

She landed a score of only 27 out of a possible 40 points as Strictly Celebrated 100 years of the broadcasting corporation.

Head Judge Shirley Ballas did not hold back on her critique.

The adjudicator noted: "The core today lacked a little bit, it was loosey goosey, it was moving a bit all over the place."

She added: "Somehow for me it wasn’t your best dance today."

Fans felt that Shirley, 62, was ‘jealous’ of the former Hear’say singer – after she was branded sexist for appearing to favour the male contestants.

Kim admitted she had been struggling and told co-host Claudia Winkleman that she had a "dodgy" day on set.

She revealed: "I felt pretty confident going in…I've had a bit of a dodgy day when it comes to confidence."

Kym added: "The team and everyone here has just picked me up. I can't thank you all enough for that."
