Strictly viewers go wild as Craig Revel Horwood dresses in drag for Halloween Week

Strictly Come Dancing viewers have flocked to Twitter to share their opinion’s on this week’s contestants’ Halloween costumes.

From Dianne Buswell and Tyler West stressed as characters from Beetlejuice to Ellie Simmonds and Nikita Kuzmin as Shaggy and Velma from Scooby Doo, the celebs pulled out all the stops as they hit the dance floor for a spooky-themed week alongside their professional dance partners.

While the celebrities looked fantastic, it was Craig Revel Horwood who stole the show as he dressed in drag as The Addams Family’s Morticia.

As he was introduced by hosts Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, Craig looked unrecognisable as he walked down the steps in a long black dress and even longer black hair.

Strictly viewers were quick to gush over his Halloween look, labelling it as “brilliant”.

“Omg Craig’s Morticia is EVERYTHING!” said one fan alongside a GIPH of the iconic movie character.

“Craig as Morticia is already tonight's winner. #Strictly #SCD,” said another.

Someone else went on: “Yes Craig! I am LIVING for Morticia Adam’s drag,” as a fourth penned: “CRAIG AS MORTICIA I LOVE THIS ALREADY #Strictly”.

“Craig in drag?! I'm obsessed” added someone else, while another fan branded him as “smoking”.

Strictly fans often share their thoughts on the show, with many viewers criticising Fleur East and Vito Coppola’s choice of song last week.

Dancing a Jive to Waterloo by ABBA, a song made famous by the annual Eurovision song contest, Fleur and Vito secured an impressive score of 32 with judges Craig and Motsi Mabuse both praising the couple.

Despite positive support from the judges, it wasn’t a performance without its controversy, as many fans were quick to slam the couple’s choice of song.

While other competitors had danced to instrumental theme tunes, many fans at home felt it was unfair for Fleur and Vito to be given an actual song.

“Seems a little unfair they get an actual song to dance to when everyone else is having a crappy theme tune,” wrote one fan.

"Why did Fleur and Vito get to dance to a song from Eurovision and not the theme tune like everyone else has been stuck with? Doesn’t seem fair really," added another.
