Keith, Carole, Molly and Charlie were invited onto the latest instalment of The Chase where they hoped to beat Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett in the final round. Host Bradley Walsh explained if they were not caught by the Chaser, they would win £5,000 each. Luck appeared to be on the team’s side as Mark got eight questions wrong during the nail-biting final.
Keith raised £6,000 in his opening round and hoped to add to the cash pot.
During his second round, which was against The Beast, Keith sailed through to the final.
Carole also made it through to the all-important last round and joined Keith back in her seat.
The pressure was on for third contestant Molly who hoped to join them to go against Mark in the final.
Molly raised £5,000 in her opening round and went against the Chaser for that amount.
She made it back to her seat and the prize fund stood at £16,000 before the last contestant of the night, Charlie, played.
Charlie, who was his daughter’s full-time carer, told Bradley she was a huge fan of The Chase ahead of his turn.
He raised £4,000 in his opening round and made it through to the final, bringing the prize fund to an eye-watering £20,000.
They answered 17 questions correctly in the final but the team feared The Chaser would catch them out.
When Mark’s turn came around, he got off to a strong start against the four contestants.
However, he ended up answering a string of questions incorrectly as the final intensified.
The longtime Chaser got a total of eight questions wrong, but the final turned nail-biting as the team scrambled to push him back.

However, the team won with seconds to spare and Bradley exclaimed: “That was absolutely brilliant.
“How you managed to win in the end is beyond me, but you did.
“You got £20,000,” Bradley added. “What a match, that is what it’s all about.”
