The One Show viewers left 'cringing' by Loose Women star Kaye Adams' introduction – fuming 'why did she say that?!' | The Sun

THE One Show viewers were left 'cringing' by Loose Women star Kaye Adams' introduction last night.

The Scottish television presenter, 60, is a regular panellist on the ITV daytime show.

And last night she swapped the high stool for The One Show.

She appeared on the flagship BBC One show as part of the show's slot called 'One Big Thank You' which sees deserving members of the public rewarded for their work.

Alex Jones and Ronan Keating introduced the segment and said how Sarah Scott from Hertfordshire had helped people in her community.

She had suffered a stroke at just 18 years old and since recovering, she has helped others with their recovery.

Kaye Adams then surprised Sarah by calling into a Zoom webinar she was speaking on.

Introducing herself, she told the stunned woman: "Hi, it's Kaye Adams off the telly."

But viewers were 'cringing' by the way the journalist broke the ice and took to social media.

One posted: "Very cringy from Kaye Adams #TheOneShow."

A second said: "Why did Kaye say that?? So cringe."

"That was cringe worthy watching that lol," said a third.

Kay then pretended to have technical difficulties with her connection and suddenly dropped of the call.

But she then appeared in front of Sarah to tell her she was from The One Show to give her 'One Big Thank You'.

Meanwhile, presenter Jermaine Jenas recently raised eyebrows with a 'low blow' comment.

The former professional footballer turned TV presenter was on hosting duties with Alex Jones.

Matt Allwright joined the pair on the sofa as he brought viewers the latest from Watchdog when things turned personal.

The One Show airs weeknights from 7pm on BBC One and iPlayer.
