Julia Bradbury has joined the line-up of The Real Full Monty, which sees celebs strip off in a bid to raise awareness around cancer.
The TV star was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2021 after finding a lump in 2020 that turned out to be a cluster of benign micro-cysts.
A scan showed her to have a "high grade" 6cm tumour, which she had removed via surgery.
She will appear alongside the likes of actress Sherrie Hewson, reality TV royalty Gemma Collins, Dancing on Ice pro skater Vanessa Bauer and Corrie and Death in Paradise’s Victoria Ekanoye.
Elsewhere, former royal butler Paul Burrell, footballer and TV personality Ashley Cain, ex England rugby international Ben Cohen, actor Nick Collier – better known as Ella Vaday, from RuPauls Drag Race and TOWIE star Pete Wicks complete the billing.
But what is Julia’s life like away from our screens? Here’s everything you need to know.
Who is Julia Bradbury and where was she born?
Julia, 51, was born in the Republic of Ireland, but her family later returned to Britain, and she grew up in Sheffield.
She attended acting classes and took part in the Crucible Theatre's stage production of Peter Pan, starring Joanne Whalley and Paula Wilcox as a child.
Alongside Tim Vine, Bradbury was the first presenter on Channel 5 when the network launched on 30 March 1997.
But Julia is best-known for co-presenting the BBC One programme Countryfile with Matt Baker from 2004 until 2014.
She also presented Watchdog, and Planet Earth Live for the BBC and Take on the Twisters, The Wonder of Britain and Britain's Best Walks for ITV.
Her documentary, Julia Bradbury: Breast Cancer and Me, left fans in tears when it aired in 2022.
Julia bravely shared her cancer journey in the hour-long documentary, which showed her navigating her diagnsosis, from undergoing a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, to how her children are dealing with it.
Speaking about her diagnosis to Prima magazine earlier this year, she said: “There’s no question that a cancer diagnosis changes your life. It doesn’t define you, but it shapes you.”
“It might sound like a weird thing to say, but I’m actually grateful for my diagnosis because it made me re-examine my life.
Elsewhere, Julia returned to her birthplace of Ireland for a recent Channel 4 documentary called Julia Bradbury's Irish Journey, which aired earlier this year.
She traveled through Ireland's stunning natural landscape and vibrant cities, exploring its rich culture and history.
Is Julia Bradbury married and does she have children?
Yes, Julia is married and has three children.
The TV favourite currently lives in west London home with her husband Gerard Cunningham, her son Zephyrus and daughters Zena and Xanthe.
The 51 year old regularly posts snaps of her family’s life on Instagram where she has over 200,000 followers.
What is Julia Bradbury’s book about?
Julia recently released a book Walk Yourself Happy: Find Your Path To Health And Healing In Nature.
She has spoken on many occasions about her passion for the outdoors, and has a website called The Outdoor Guide, which is run by her sister Gina.
Following her cancer diagnosis and surgery, she has been dedicating her time supporting the benefits of healthy living and the virtues of nature therapy.
The Countryfile star labelled her book as “part memoir, party self-help, party advice, part sceience” while out promoting it.
Julia shared more in an interview on the This Morning sofa: “I couldn't ignore the elephant in the room. I couldn't ignore the fact that I had a breast cancer diagnosis two-and-a-half years ago, we've spoken about that."
She added: "But that really made me re-examine my life and made me look at health through a different lens. And everything in the book is about re-finding balance and finding health through things that are accessible to all of us.
“Look, we all know there are some crazy things that people are doing like paying millions keeping themselves alive with blood plasma oils. "
Julia continued: "This book isn't about that, this is about how something as simple as doing breath work exercise in the morning can help you with sleep, can prevent Type 2 diabetes, can increase the certain hormones you need throughout the day. It resets you and gets you ready for a stressful day ahead."
