This Morning interview turns chaotic as Viking kid leaves Rochelle Humes panicked

Rochelle Humes was left unsure what to do during Monday's (14 August) episode of This Morning as she and co-host Andi Peters interviewed a woman and her two young sons, who dress up as vikings.

Jenny Kell and her kids had come to the ITV studio, in full costume, to discuss their unusual hobby which involves dressing up as Vikings and attending re-enactments.

And Rochelle, 33, began the segment by saying: "For most people, dressing up and acting out battles from hundreds of years ago whilst surviving on a forage diet wouldn't feature too highly on their weekend plans."

Andi, 52, continued with the scripted intro: "However, for Jenny Kell and her family, there's nothing they'd rather do. She spends her spare time living as a wet nurse from the Viking period and camping alongside other historical reenactors."

But, as the experienced TV hosts then attempted to begin the interview with Jenny, one of her young sons, named Tom, began to act up and started to become disruptive, shouting "Boo" and making the conversation impossible for viewers to hear.

Rochelle, who herself is a mother of three, must be well-used to managing young children's behaviour but the interruptions grew louder and louder as the boy continuously shouted out.

The exasperated presenters attempted to include Tom in the interview and diffuse the disturbance but to no avail and Andi, who recently celebrated his 52nd birthday, could just about be heard joking: "All my life, I'd like to be like Tom on telly!"

Rochelle added: "I feel like I'm at home coz I feel like this is what I'm used to!" before attempting to ask Tom a question.

However, Tom shouted over her voice as Rochelle said: "I know don't know what to do, I'll be honest, I've now had a bit of a panic up!"

This Morning viewers had a mixed reaction to Viking Tom and his naughty ways. One said: "Don’t know what was funnier, the kids that were constantly screaming; or @andipeters trying to hold it together but then giggling every five seconds. Amazing stuff for a Monday! #ThisMorning."

Another said: "The kid on This Morning ….Cute or annoying i really can't decide .. #thismorning."

A third tweeted: "Those kids needed some viking discipline I think #thismorning," and a fourth added: "Utter chaos!! #Kids #ThisMorning."

This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV and ITV Hub.
