Towie legend's very shocking new career revealed as his ex ties the knot today

EX-TOWIE and Geordie Shore star Ricky Rayment has turned his back on the showbiz lifestyle for something more down to earth.

First appearing on screens in Towie, Ricky, 32, was also a regular on Geordie Shore and had a whirlwind romance with Marnie Simpson in 2015.

Getting together in January that year, shortly after Ricky split from Towie star Jess Wright, the couple were engaged by the end of June.

However, their relationship proved volatile and by that September they had split for good.

Off the back of his brush with reality TV, Ricky has since stepped away from the limelight – and now works as a fisherman.

Running his own angling business, Ricky has been showing off his skills on the lakes with Instagram accounts boasting his fresh catches.

He also runs Filthy Hooker, an apparel line dedicated to making those who fish do so with style.

Marnie has now been in a relationship with Stereo Kicks star Casey Johnson since 2017, meeting on the set of MTV reality dating show Single AF.

The pair are getting married today in a top secret ceremony, which will be filmed for Geordie Shore's upcoming final series.

In the six years since, the couple have had two children together – Rox, born in October 2019, and Oax, born in May 2022.

In between the babies and engagement, in 2021 the couple split after Marnie struggled with a bout of depression.

However, it didn't last long as the pair were back together a few weeks after rumours of the split emerged.

They got engaged in 2020 after romantic set-up by Casey who got down on one knee.

It came after they headed off on a date night together where he proposed after taking her to an orchard decorated with fairy lights.
