THE Scottish design duo Colin McAllister and Justin Ryan have spent years on television faced with the challenge of completely upscaling and changing interiors for the better.

The couple rose to fame in the noughties with their hit show The Million Pound Property Experiment.

Who are Colin and Justin and how did they get famous?

Colin, 54, and Justin, 55, discovered they both had a passion for home design, an activity they did informally in their spare times.

They had their first TV stint on a Scottish programme called Summer Discovery.

This was followed by the BBC series Trading Up, which they hosted forseven series.

The classic BBC show Million Pound Property Experiment gave Colin and Justin their big break.

As a part of the show, they had to buy, renovate and sell seven properties across the UK.

How did they meet and how long have Colin and Justin been together?

Colin and Justin have been a couple since 1986, after meeting for the first time in a Glasgow gay club as teenagers.

They have been together for 37 years in 2022, within which they decided to make the move to Canada, where they present shows on Canadian television.

Are they married and do they have children?

They tied the knot on February 15 2008, in a private civil ceremony in London's Chelsea Old Town Hall, followed by a honeymoon in the Caribbean.

The civil ceremony was witnessed by the couple's close friends Elaine and George Ponte.

The couple do not have a child together.

What TV shows have they been in?

The couple star in Channel 5's Colin and Justin's Hotel Hell which began on September 18, 2022.

This sees them attempt to renovate a 22-bedroom hotel in Nova Scotia, Canada.

Colin and Justin made the move across the pond to Canada in 2008, and have presented shows on Canadian television such as Home Heist and Great Canadian Cottages.
