Boy, 17, charged after 'stabbing girl and leaving her to bleed for 5 hours' | The Sun

A 17-year-old boy has been charged with attempted murder after a teenage girl was stabbed and left bleeding for five hours.

The girl, whose age has not been disclosed, was attacked in the village of Benhall, Suffolk, at around 2am on Sunday.


The victim lay wounded until she was found by a dog walker five hours later, Suffolk Police said.

She was rushed to Ipswich Hospital where she was treated for life-changing stab wounds and a back injury.

The girl remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police said the victim and suspect are known to each other.

The suspect was arrested at 8.40am on Sunday and on Tuesday was charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.
