Cardiff university evacuated after chemical spill as medics rush to scene | The Sun

CARDIFF University has been evacuated after a chemical spill with medics rushing to check on those affected.

The university says its main building has been evacuated and "temporarily closed".

A statement from the university said a "small number of people" are being checked by paramedics.

It added no serious injuries or casualties had been reported at this stage.

South Wales Police said the road between Museum Place and Cathays Terrace was closed and urged people to avoid the area.

And the university confirmed it will stay shut "until we are confident there is no risk to health and safety".
