JEFFREY Dahmer and John Wayne Gacy both murdered young men and boys in the 70s and were alive in prison at the same time, so is it possible they met?
Both serial killers infamously murdered and raped young men in Illinois around the same time, and Gacy was arrested in 1978 – the same year Dahmer killed his first victim.
Did Jeffrey Dahmer ever meet John Wayne Gacy?
While Gacy was serving his sentence on death row, Dahmer was murdering more victims until his capture in 1991.
However, Gacy did not die until 1994, therefore is it possible they crossed paths?
Gacy would lure his victims in with the promise of construction work and began his crime spree with a string of sexual assault of which he was convicted in 1968.
When he was released in 1970, Gacy faced multiple sexual assault allegations, until eight years later Robert Piest, aged 15-years went missing.
Police were led to The Killer Clown's house 10 days later and uncovered evidence of many more murders, spanning back to 1972.
However, Dahmer and Gacy did not meet ever meet each other.

Dahmer began his prison sentence in 1992 at Columbia Correctional Institution in Portage, Wisconsin, while Gacy was on death row at Menard Correctional Center in Chester, Illinois.
Is John Wayne Gacy in Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer story?
'The Killer Clown' does appear in the new hit Netflix series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, in the final episode of the season.
In this episode, Gacy's character is depicted drugging and killing one of his victims in 1977 and Dahmer, played by Evan Peters, is portrayed watching a Gacy prison interview on TV.
The episode also shows Dahmer's character discussing Gacy with a prison minister and explains how they are similar in many ways.
However, he concludes that the difference between Gacy and himself is that The Killer Clown never confessed to his crimes.
The last time Gacy's character is seen on the show is when his execution is portrayed.
Who was John Wayne Gacy?
John Wayne Gacy was found guilty of 33 murders in Cook County, Illinois from 1972 to his arrest in December 1978.
Gacy was born on March 17, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois and had an abusive upbringing under his alcoholic father's care.
According to Biography.com, Gacy was: "The son of Danish and Polish parents, Gacy and his siblings grew up with an alcoholic father who would beat the children with a razor strap if they were perceived to have misbehaved.
"His father physically assaulted Gacy's mother as well."
His first known murder was that of 16-year-old Timothy McCoy, and most of Gacy's victims were found buried in crawlspace underneath his house, or discovered in the nearby river, Des Plaines.
The serial killer would disguise himself in a clown costume when he committed his brutal crimes, leading to the infamous nickname, The Killer Clown.
He even worked as a clown prior to his crimes and was reported telling people that: "Clowns can get away with anything. Clowns can get away with murder."

Gacy was sentenced to death on March 13 1980 and executed by lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Centre on May 10 1994.
His last words were televised and he said: "Kiss my ass."
Cook County authorities have since used DNA evidence to identify the eight unknown victims whose bodies were found in 1987.
In 2017, one of those men, “Victim No. 24,” was identified as 16-year-old James "Jimmie" Byron Haakenson.
