Guisborough crash: 'Much-loved' dad, 37, killed as another man, 35, fights for life and family pay tribute | The Sun

A "MUCH-LOVED" dad has been killed and another man was hospitalised after a horror car crash.

Cops scrambled to the scene after reports of a single-vehicle collision involving a BMW 5-series just after 8pm on Friday in Guisborough, North Yorkshire.

37-year-old father Kellam Hodgson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Another man, aged 35, was taken to James Cook University Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

Kellam’s grieving family have today paid tribute to him and have asked for privacy during this extremely difficult time.

His family said: “Kellam was a much-loved son, husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.”

Middlesbrough Road was closed off by police in both directions – with the North East Ambulance Service sending a number of vehicles and requesting air ambulance support.

Cops are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dash cam footage of the incident to get in touch with the police.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Cleveland Police Specialist Operations Unit on the non-emergency number 101, quoting incident number CVP-23-128209.
