Hunt for hit-and-run motorcyclist who left an 18-month-old child with ‘life changing’ injuries after crashing into mother, 28, as she pushed buggy in south east London

Police have released photos of a wanted motorcyclist who collided with a woman and 18-month-old child in a buggy last month before fleeing the scene – leaving the toddler with ‘life-changing injuries’ 

The horrific crash occurred in Eltham Hill, south-east London on May 11 and resulted in both the woman, 28, and child being taken to hospital. 

A month later the child remains in hospital with serious injuries that police have said are ‘life changing.’ 

A week after the incident on May 18, a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving but has since been released on bail

Commenting on their new line of inquiry, Detective Constable Tristan Hunter said: ‘I would encourage anyone who knows who the rider might be to speak with us.

Detectives investigating a collision in south-east London have released images of the rider

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are trying to identify the rider 

‘They failed to stop at the scene following their reckless riding.

‘A young child has suffered life-changing injuries that will continue to require ongoing treatment, including rehab.

‘Please call police and tell us what you know.’
