Birthday bash! Moment giggling best friends plough into a brick wall and fall to the ground while riding an e-scooter on a birthday night out – before walking away unharmed

  • A clip shows two e-scooter riding friends end their night on the tiles… literally
  • Jenni Morley, 31, of Nottingham, and her friend were out celebrating a birthday
  • They picked up an e-scooter but passenger Jenni accidently hit the accelerator
  • After careering into a wall, they landed on top of each other in heap on pavement

This is the moment a girls’ night out ended with a bang as two women ploughed into a brick wall while riding an e-scooter.

Jenni Morley, 31, was out partying in Nottingham with four friends to celebrate one of their birthdays when they were offered a rented scooter by a passer-by at around 9pm.

Ms Morley and her friend eagerly climbed on and happily jaunted through the town centre, but the pair saw their night on the tiles end quite literally as they were sent flying on to the pavement in hoots of laughter after hitting a wall.

Ms Morley had clung on behind her friend who was driving, reached to hang on to the handle but accidentally gripped hold of the accelerator – sending the pair speeding out of control.

The women found themselved in a heap on the pavement after their e-scooter crashed into a wall

In the clip, both Jenni and her schoolfriend of 25 years, who wishes to remain unnamed, career across the pavement and frantically try to stop the vehicle with their feet before crashing into a wall.

The duo are sent flying backwards and clumsily fall on top of each other in a heap – where Jenni bashed her head against the floor but otherwise escaped unscathed.

After posting the video on social media two weeks ago, the footage filmed by their friend Katie attracted more than 5.3million views and more than 23,000 likes and comments.

Jenni, from Nottingham, said: ‘We’re always having a laugh every time we get together.

‘We’d gone out into town for a birthday celebration to do an escape room.

‘Someone had passed us one of the scooters that you can hop on and off.

‘We were going back to the train and one of the girls had a go on the scooter. I said ‘I’ll get on with you then’ as a laugh.

‘We ended up crashing into the wall. I’d only ever been on one of the scooters in Lanzarote. They’re fast.

‘I’ve not a clue [how we crashed]. My friend let go of the handle you control it with.

‘I grabbed the handle to hold on [and] without realising at the time it sped it back up as my friend tried to stop the scooter and we were avoiding pedestrians.

‘It just so happened that the camera was out at the same time. Katie [our friend who filmed from the sidelines] must have seen it coming.’

The fun-loving pair swiftly hauled themselves off the floor in time to dash for their train home so they could hit their local pubs – thankfully with no injuries.

Later that night, Jenni showed her husband Kieran the footage but only decided to post it on Facebook after finding it funnier each time she watched it back.

The clip has amassed 5.3million views and more than 23,000 likes and comments on social media

Jenni said: ‘My friend took her hands off and I was still holding on which sped it up a bit.

‘I was on the back. You see my glasses fly back about 10 yards behind me.

‘There were no injuries at all. No medical requirements at all. Nobody was hurt.

‘There was no time to even think about what happened because the train was due in two minutes.

‘Luckily we made the train. It was very full.

‘When I showed my husband Kieran had found it hilarious when he saw the video. We stopped in my house while waiting for the others then went into our local to finish the night off.

‘We’ve had comments about how funny it was. It’s had five million views in nine days now.’
