Shocking moment delivery driver smashes PS5 & £350 fan after launching parcels over fence before even 'trying doorbell' | The Sun

THIS is the soul-destroying moment a DPD driver "launches"a customer's PlayStation 5 and £350 fan over their 6ft fence.

The shopper watched in horror as their brand new items were thrown over the back gate – reportedly without the courier trying the front doorbell first.

Footage of the major blunder shows the woman, wearing a red DPD polo shirt, strolling up to the fence with a parcel in either hand.

She then stops, puts one down and tries the handle before tossing the £350 Dyson Tower Fan straight over the top.

It falls to the ground with a mighty clatter, but, undeterred, the worker proceeds to send the second box containing a PS5 up and over as well.

The clip, shared on TikTok, then cuts out, but the user claims she never even tried the front door.

They captioned the post: "Cheers for that Karen. Not yours to break were they, and DPD don't care."

The customer, who purchased the items from Currys, later added: "You don't drop £1,000 of electrical goods over a 6ft fence full stop, never mind without checking if the person is in.

"This is my back gate. I'm in. You can see me in the window."

In a second video shared shortly after the first, the person can be seen coming to the gate to confront the driver.

On-screen captions say: "I caught her and her reply was, 'well I don't know what's inside the boxes' and she shrugged."

The courier can also be heard saying: "I don't know what's in what you see, I just go by what it tells me to do on here," – pointing to a handheld device.

The TikTok user, named 8rabbits, confirmed Currys had issued them a refund, despite fault seemingly lying with DPD.

"Currys, bless them, refunded me and apologised, despite it not being their fault even a little bit," they said.

"Do you know how difficult it us getting hold of one PS5 never mind a second."
