What happened in the Paul Pelosi DUI arrest?
Police reported Paul, 82, was driving a 2021 Porsche when his vehicle was struck by a Jeep in Napa, California on May 28.
A new court report released before Paul's August 3 arraignment alleges that it was actually Paul's fault that the accident occurred, which goes against what his former lawyer stated.
His former lawyer, Paul Kramer, insisted that the injured party (who was not identified) caused the accident, not Paul.
The report includes new information that Paul had been slurring his words and stumbling on his feet immediately following the crash.

The document, shared by the New York Post, also stated that Paul had failed his field sobriety test.
Responding officers said Paul showed "objective signs and symptoms of alcohol intoxication" with a "strong odor" of alcohol on his breath.
The victim refused treatment at the scene.
However, he later reported pain in his arm, shoulder, head, and neck.

On August 23, 2022, Paul's attorney Amanda Bevins answered the charges on her client's behalf.
That Tuesday, he pleaded guilty to one count of driving under the influence.
He was sentenced to five days in prison and was ordered to complete a three-month impaired driver program.
The conditions of Paul's sentencing also stated that he has to pay a $150 fine, complete nine hours of a court work program, and put an ignition interlock device on his car for a year.
The court dropped Paul's second misdemeanor charge as part of the agreement.

His arrest occurred the night of the accident, shortly after 10pm on May 28, 2022.
Reports say that was arrested that night on suspicion of drunk driving.
In the state of California, the legal limit is 0.08 percent.
The new report also shows that his blood alcohol level was .082%.
Records show that Paul posted $5,000 bail shortly after the May 28 arrest.
He is currently being charged with two criminal misdemeanors by the Napa County District Attorney's Office, Fox KTVU reported on June 23, 2022.
